Texas Hold Em is one of the most popular of all of the poker variants played in online casinos all around the world. The objective of playing Texas Hold Em is to win pots. The pot is the sum of money bet by yourself and the other players in one hand. The pot of money is then won by winning the showdown by forming the best five cards out of the seven available cards or by betting to cause the other players to fold their hands and give up their quest for the pot.

The point of winning players is not to win the separate pots but to make the correct decisions. If you do the math correctly and you make the right choices then you will be able to maximize your winning potential.

The game is started by a bet. In regular poker there are antes but not really in Texas Hold Em. Most of these games are played with two players to the left of the dealer placing out a predetermined amount of money so there can be an initial amount to begin the game.

Then once the betting is done, then the dealer will shuffle the standard deck of 52 cards and then each player will is given 2 cards face down, these are called your hole cards or your pocket cards. Then there is a round of betting that begins with the person to the left of the
two people who started the game with the blinds. The round of betting is called the pre-flops.

The amount a player can bet can depend on what kind of rules the game is using. Then as the game progresses, standard rules apply like call, raise or fold. That can only happen during the betting rounds. Once the betting round is over the dealer will remove the top card on the deck, this is called the burn deck. This is necessary to prevent cheating.

The dealer then flips over the next three cards face up on the table, these are flop cards, these cards are for anyone to use in combination with their two face down cards to form a poker hand. Then another betting round. The dealer burns another card and flips one more, this is the turn card and a player can use this to form a 5 card hand of poker.

Then another betting round and the deal places out the final card face up with the rest. The player can use their 2 face down cards plus any one of the 5 cards face up on the table to form a hand of poker. The player with the best hand wins.
